D12 FOODBANK APPEAL 2025

A Huge Thank You To Our Members

Dear Members,

From 5th to 8th December, the YNWA Irish Reds once again showed what our club is all about by coming together to support the D12 Food Bank. Over the four days, members and supporters donated generous amounts of food and essential items to help local families and individuals across the Dublin 12 area. Alongside the food donations, nearly €1,800 in cash was raised, with welcome corporate support from Michael Grant Motors (Harold's Cross) and Bruntons Bus Hire (Blanchardstown). It was a brilliant example of the strong community spirit that runs through the Irish Reds. You can see the D12 Food Bank's reaction on their facebook page here.

The committee put €650 of the donations straight to work with a shopping run in LIDL on 8th December, helping to boost much-needed supplies immediately. We would also like to thanks the management of LIDL in Walkinstown, who filled a trolley themslves and donated it on the day. The remaining funds will be used in January and February, when donations tend to drop - until then, as Father Ted would say, the money is just resting in the club account. Most importantly, this appeal showed that when our club comes together, no one is left behind. True to the Liverpool motto, You'll Never Walk Alone, and the impact of that spirit will be felt well beyond Anfield.
